PUBDES Assignment 2 Indiv SM Post 4.png

For the module: Publication Design & Production

What I Did:
  • Creatively conceptualized and designed a series of 4 social media posts [for Instagram] as part of a project assignment to attract Youth visitors to Verve 2020 - a virtual community arts festival

Software Utilized: Adobe InDesign

  • Based on my heavy inspirations by the technicalities of a virtual festival [features such as a QR code, mobile phones and social media], I applied similar aesthetics into the main design concept of these social media posts

  • Experimented with the colour palette and scheme provided for different elements in the posts

> Received pleasant feedback that these posts are a good representation of the festival's branding and image

What I Learnt:
  • Creative Thinking and Conceptualization

  • Enabled me to strengthen my design competencies

  • Importance of  Understanding Target Audience (Target Audience Engagement)

For the module: Publication Design & Production

What I Did:
  • For a design project assignment, I was tasked to design and conceptualize a 3-page E Publication to attract potential visitors and attendees to Verve 2020 - a virtual community arts festival

Software Utilized: Adobe InDesign

  • To better convey the idea of an online festival, I decided to keep the 'virtual concept' consistent throughout the entire e-publication by immersing viewers in a scenario replicating them sitting in front of a laptop screen

> Touches on the technical aspect of a festival to be held on a virtual platform

What I Learnt:
  • Creative Thinking and Conceptualization

  • Enabled me to strengthen my design capabilities and skills

  • Importance of  Understanding Target Audience (Target Audience Engagement)
