What I Did: 

As part of a project assignment, my team and I were tasked to propose and pitch for a virtual (online) exhibition proposal which ties in with our Singapore's arts and heritage values. 

​My team finalized on the overarching theme of local Recreational Activities [Playgrounds & Theme Parks] with the main concept of Gamification. You can click here to take a look at our proposal. 

  • Led the team throughout the entire project (team leader) 

  • Conducted thorough primary and secondary research on all relevant and necessary information 

> To better shape the appeal of our proposed exhibition 

  • Provided the flow and layout of the entire proposal

What I Did: 
  • Conceptualized and planned for a thorough exhibition flow 

> With the theme of 'migrant workers' in Singapore 

  • Designed and crafted a detailed exhibition layout using the design software: Adobe Photoshop 

For the module: Stage and Exhibition Management 

Exhibited Photographs & Exhibition Set-Up 

What I Did: 

Under this exhibition project, my team and I were required to curate and develop on a photo exhibition from scratch. My team then built on an exhibition theme revolving around fashion and its influence on stereotypes existent in our society today. Each of us was then responsible for the set-up of different portions of the exhibition (in the boundaries of our own homes). 

  • Captured relevant and prominently representative photographs for the exhibition 

> Sourced for suitable external models and liaised a photography shoot with them (photoshoot conceptualization & execution)

  • Led the entire team in smoothly accomplishing this project 

  • Brainstormed for the concept and contents of the exhibition 

> Layout, Objects/Artefacts, Exhibition Poster 

  • Crafted 2 visitor participation activities with the team 

  • Exhibition Planning and Preparation (for the actual set-up) 

> Sourced for a printing supplier and ensured that all photographs were printed in good quality and ready 

> Prepared all necessary physical materials needed for our exhibition set-ups

For the module: Resource Development in Arts Management

What I Did: 

As part of an assignment, I was tasked to craft and develop on a volunteer FAQ package (FAQ Sheet + Application Form + Training Plan) to attract potential volunteers for Verve 2020. 

  • Developed and built on a volunteer training plan for specific volunteer roles and positions

  • Crafted the volunteer package in a way that it provides potential volunteers with deeper insights and information on what to expect / potential experiences 

  • Utilized the design software: Adobe Photoshop to design and enhance the visual aesthetics of the volunteer FAQ and form 

> A consistent colour palette in line with Verve 2020's colour scheme 

  • Took into consideration the key and important details for this package

OH' VERVE DRIVE (OVD) 2020 

OH' VERVE DRIVE (OVD) 2020

What I Did: 

Oh' Verve Drive is an annual fundraising campaign event held by second year Arts Business Management students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. For its 10th edition, OVD 2020 is held virtually (instead of a physical one) due to COVID-19. A combination of our entire batch's efforts, OVD 2020 sells a variety of arts and craft items, as well as holds a series of programmes and workshops for the local community. 

  • Generated ideas for items to be sold to raise funds for Verve 2020 - a virtual community arts festival 

> Sourced for products and their respective stocks in preparation for the fundraising campaign 

  • Was a part of the logistics team 

> As a logistics member, I was in charge of handling and taking care of all logistic aspects for my group 

> Checked on orders, packed them correctly and mailed them out to recipients 

  • Designed and crafted 3 pages of material guides using the software: Canva for potential participants for my group's calligraphy workshop 

> Brainstormed and planned for a virtual calligraphy workshop for workshop participants

For the module: Festival Management 

What I Did:

​As part of an initiative to bring the arts closer to the less fortunate communities, my batchmates and I were tasked to create a series of arts tutorials and activities for upper-primary school children in a children's home. 

  • Led the entire team to successfully complete this service learning project 

  • Brainstormed with my group for engaging and fun contents which we could deliver to the children (target audience) 

> Decided on the artforms: Dance and Theatre 

> Constructed a dance tutorial and a face-mask making tutorial activity 

  • Was in-charge of teaching and filming the dance choreography 

> Segmented the choreography into easily absorbable sizes to ensure effective learning for children

What I Did:

​My team and I were tasked to curate a physical exhibition about traditional dance forms. 

My team decided on the traditional Indian Dance form: Bharatanatyam, and this exhibition was held on campus outside one of Ngee Ann Polytechnic's food courts. 

  • Led the team effectively and efficiently 

> Delegated all necessary project tasks and facilitated the project completion progress to ensure everyone is productive and on the right track 

> One of the only groups to successfully deliver the exhibition

> Impressed members from the National Heritage Board (NHB) and received positive feedback and compliments from them 

  • Designed 2 A2 sized exhibition posters 

Software Utilized: Adobe Photoshop 

> Conceptualized and creatively brainstormed with the team 

  • Conducted thorough and extensive research on the dance form 

  • Developed a visitor participation activity to intrigue visitors and evaluate their learning

What I Did:

​As part of a project assignment, my team and I were tasked to create a theatre educational package for upper secondary school students about the playwright: Henrik Ibsen. 

  • Took on the role of the leader for the entire group 

> Effectively delegated all necessary tasks and set deadlines and expectations for the group 

> Scheduled meetings to consistently keep group's progress in check 

  • Conducted thorough secondary research for accurate and reliable contents 

  • Responsible for crafting an activity sheet and designing 2 pages of the educational booklet

As such, my team decided to propose an idea solution to increase accessibility of the visual arts for the visually-impaired community.

  • Crafted a self-guided walking trail guide for Youths to tour around the arts and culture district in Singapore
